Our History

Blue Tiger Martial Arts was founded in 2005 in Rosenberg, Texas. Since that time it has continued to grow and is now one of the top rated martial arts schools in the Richmond/Rosenberg area, as well as, the surrounding Houston area as well.

The head instructor for Blue Tiger Martial Arts is Master Chris Davis.  Master Davis has been training  in the martial art for over 20 years. Originally from Iowa, Master Davis moved to Texas in 1998 to work for Chuck Norris' KickStart program (formally Kick Drugs Out Of America).  He worked for the KickStart Program for 10 years before moving on to open Blue Tiger Martial Arts.

Our Philosophy

At Blue Tiger Martial Arts, we seek to create an atmosphere where students can learn in a disciplined, but positive environment without feeling intimidated by the class or the instructors. The emphasis is on developing the student's values, discipline, behavior, and physical fitness.  While we encourage our students to compete in tournaments, competition represents only one small part of the martial arts and this is reflected in our classes.

Our approach does not favor just the physical side of the martial arts.  Instead we place physical fitness and ability in the context of a student’s progress no matter what level they begin at. Diligence in practice and dedication are the true keys to success at Blue Tiger Martial Arts.

Blue Tiger Martial Arts has a number of attributes any student of Martial Arts looks for in any institution. The following are some of the most relevant ones: 1) Instruction is professionally delivered; form and technique are the foundation of the teaching. 2) Discipline and respect for other students is the basis of performance at school. 3) Belt testing is a rigorous process where lack of knowledge, performance and poor technical delivery is not permitted. 4) Consistency in class intensity and progress are outstanding components of the school.
